AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali celebrated the 80th Independence Day of our nation with great enthusiasm, pride and patriotic spirit.
The celebrations commenced with the *Flag Hoisting Ceremony*. The *National Flag was hoisted* by the Associate Director Parnika Singh and the Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla followed by the singing of the National Anthem by the entire school. The air resonated with the spirit of freedom and unity.
Students were briefed about the significance of the day. It was highlighted that 15th August 1947 marks the day India gained independence from the British rule after years of struggle and sacrifice by our freedom fighters.
80 years later, this day reminds us of our duties as responsible citizens to uphold the values of democracy, unity in diversity, and integrity.
The program was made more vibrant with patriotic songs, speeches and poem recitations by the students . A special tribute was paid to the freedom fighters and martyrs of our nation.
The event concluded with the distribution of sweets. The celebration instilled a deep sense of patriotism and national pride among students and staff.
Parnika Singh, Associate Director (Academics) and the Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla congratulated everyone and said that such celebrations help students connect with the rich heritage of our country.
