AKSIPS 65 Smart School, Mohali, in collaboration with *‘Destitute India’*, organized two important awareness workshops for students
The workshop for *Classes I to V* aimed to instill the crucial understanding of *"My body is my own. I will keep it safe."*
Through an interactive and age-appropriate session, students learned to recognize safe and unsafe touch in a comforting manner. The session empowered young children with the confidence and vocabulary to protect themselves and seek help from trusted adults.
The workshop for *Classes VI to VIII* focused on promoting *Digital Well-being and Healthy Screen Habits*.
Students were educated about the physical, mental, and academic impact of prolonged screen time. The session included discussions on *Time Management, Setting Screen-Time Limits, and the importance of outdoor and creative activities* to maintain a healthy balance between technology and real life.
Both sessions were highly engaging and encouraged students to ask questions and participate actively. The resource person used stories, activities, and real-life examples to make the concepts clear and impactful.
The Associate Director Parnika Singh and the Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla appreciated the initiative by *‘Destitute India’*, stating that such workshops play a vital role in ensuring the *safety, well-being, and holistic development* of children.
