• *AKSIPS-65 Smart School Hosts CBSE Capacity Building Programme on Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices* AKSIPS-65 Smart School, Mohali, successfully organized a two-day CBSE Capacity Building Programme on “Strengthening Assessment and Evaluation Practices” for teachers . The workshop was conducted under CBSE’s continuous professional development initiative. The sessions were facilitated by Dr. Pushpalata, Principal, The GWorld School, and Radhika Gupta from Manav Rachna School, who served as the CBSE Resource Persons. Approximately teachers from CBSE schools in and around Mohali participated in the programme. The two-day training focussed on aligning assessment practices with NEP 2020, designing competency-based questions, using rubrics for holistic evaluation, and implementing effective feedback mechanisms across all subjects. Interactive sessions, group activities, and development of action plans formed key components of the workshop. The Associate Director Parnika Singh and the Principal Rajminder Kaur Jaitla Principal, encouraged teachers to enhance their evaluation skills. They emphasized that strengthening assessment practices is essential to shift from rote learning to competency-based education and to support students’ overall growth.
